So I open X - the "fast success, slow brain drain" 1st tweet: AI... 2nd tweet: Vibe coding... 3rd tweet: Agents... 4th tweet: "I built this in 4 hours - fast, reliable, no headaches". 5th tweet: "I made 22K on X after vibe coding it in 'just' 2 hours." I see this pattern everywhere. Everyone's praising this "super intelligence" and how fast everything is now. But I honestly believe that, in reality, this is what replaces individuals or at least weakens them. Because at some point, you forget how to think, write, and actually solve problems. You might say: "But Catalin, you're getting older and you're falling behind. You should adopt this, this is the future, you can do things 100x faster and way better." And sure, I agree. It is a choice. I just choose the struggle, the failures, the slow thinking over "fast" delivery and getting rich overnight. I'm already seeing developers who used to write code (not average) and now they can't anymore because they've leaned too hard on AI. When things stop moving fast, they panic, they scream on X, they need motivational threads and dopamine hits or blame whatever tool or human being. More and more people can't figure things out on their own anymore and this honestly makes me really sad.

@tsolfitsmexx Interesting approach using the native teleport! Might worth adding it to the library it self if you are interested

🚀 react-native-bottom-sheet-stack keeps evolving! New feature dropping tomorrow: Persistent Bottom Sheets What's this about? 📌 Always mounted - Define sheets that stay in the React tree without unmounting, preserving internal state between open/close cycles and access it from anywhere. 🔗 Fully stack-aware - Works seamlessly with the existing stack mechanism: - Open an ad-hoc sheet via imperative API - Then open a persistent sheet on top - Then open another sheet from inside that persistent one - Stack navigation (push/switch/replace) just works™ 🎯 Perfect for - Media players, multi-step forms, or any frequently accessed sheet where you want zero latency and state preservation PR is nearly ready, release planned for tomorrow 🔥 github.com/arekkubaczkows… @expo

@gorhom Not really 😅 We're leaning toward the Lego Architecture series, for example this one: lego.com/en-us/product/…. But it doesn't look like a challenge (at least not from the outside). I guess the issue lies in the internal structure.

I’m looking for a Lego set for my fiancée and me to build together in the evenings. I’d love something we can treat as a room decoration afterward. Any recommendations? 🧱

Finally after couple of refactors, i managed to get the Legend List by @jmeistrich integrated with the React Native Bottom Sheet 🔥 This release should also include the beginning optimising APIs towards the next major release v6. github.com/gorhom/react-n… #reactnative

@gorhom @reactnative Emulator is trash, had to test on a real device. Also, it runs way smoother on device, so better for showing it off. 🙌

@hirbod @gorhom @wcandillon We use expo image for svgs and works well, but storybook which we use has a dependency for react-native-svg so we need that as well 🤷

@gorhom @wcandillon Oh the difference is huge. You can also use expo-image to load SVGs if you have simple usage
