Good to see the euphoria on the TL about ordinals pumping.
While I’m glad to see the shift in sentiments, we also shouldn’t forget how low the majority of ordinals collections dipped. Most went down 90-95% from ATH, the pump we see now is like 5-10% up from 90-95% drop so generally speaking, we’re still down.
Personally, these are the indicators I’m looking out for to confirm a real comeback of ordinals:
➜ Bitcoin Puppets back to 0.1 BTC FP at least.
➜ Some newly launched collections performing really well. And by this, I don't mean 2x from mint, I mean the insane numbers we used to see back in the days.
➜ An airdrop that will cook really well. A runestone kinda airdrop, to rewards active participants and holders.
Personally, I'm still down bad from my ordinals and runes holdings and haven't sold any of my bags through the dip cos I knew it was going to be a mistake if I sold at the bottom.
Lest I forget, I'm also looking forward to the launch of ord net by @lifofifo. I have a feeling that if it goes well, we will see some more volume in the ecosystem.
Until then, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and will keep exploring opportunities I find in the web3 space. The end goal is to stack more sats.

- A FUD post by Wale about how “Ordinals were a big extraction”.
- Magic Eden removing Ordinals marketplace support and a couple of paid posts.

Ordinals were a big extraction, just like most early trends we've seen since 2021. Not too different to early NFTs when majority of teams also raised millions of dollars without ever building anything. SocialFi did the same but here influencers were the "teams". Memecoins, ICOs, and maybe even InfoFi to an extent. Teams capitalize on early hype and the speculation that this will be "the next big thing". That's usually where the real money is made, you can still make profit by trading as an user, but it rarely works out for the majority. It surely didn't for Ordinals. And it didn't for most other trends either. It is what it is

Ok, I’ve had it.
I feel like I’m living in bizarro world, and this is why the NBA MVP is now meaningless.
Last night Luka Doncic became the first player in NBA history to put up a stat line of - 40+ Points, 10+ Assists, 5+ Rebounds, 5+ Threes, and 0 Turnovers
So today the media ignores that, and an MVP voter (Chris Broussard) proclaims that Shai doesn’t have to campaign for the MVP award, because he is “cool”. However, Luka Doncic, because he isn’t “cool” dropped in ranking, by not begging for the award.
The reason?? Because an activist MVP voter that writes for the NBA, moved Wembanyama to #1 on his list, after campaigning for the award. Not for his play, but because of an embarrassing speech he gave to the media.
So we ignore the historic month that Luka Doncic just had to make the MVP race about THIS. By the way, what makes Shai so “cool” @Chris_Broussard that he’s exempt from your imaginary benchmark?? Is it because he’s a white European?? If that’s the case, at least have the guts to say it.
They’re admitting right in front of your face that it doesn’t matter what Luka Doncic does on the court, they will find any dumb reason to not vote for him, then laugh about it on TV.

Re: collection data and the listing process.
◉RD indexes every inscription, parent, and gallery. All "collections" are either galleries or one or more parents.
The goal is to rely on onchain data as much as possible.
The listing process becomes more of a verification process, where we mark an existing parent or gallery as a verified collection, give it a URL slug and title, and enable trading.
Verification is currently handled through our public Github.

There is plenty of tooling now for inscribing galleries.
Take your time and do it right. Make sure the title and metadata are correct.

When we get good, complete galleries for them.
There is no urgency. Ideally, those galleries come from the project founders, but they can also come from the community.
What matters is that the data is good and reflects what Magic Eden or Satflow had.
