In the quiet landscape of Dima Hasao (Assam) lies Dubungling village, historically known as Derebera, - a significant archaeological site known for its large megalithic stone jars. The current name of the village derives from Dimasa language - Dubung (tall grass) and ling (plantation). This site is a treasure trove of archaeological remains ranging from prehistoric to medieval period. One of the most fascinating prehistoric discovery of this site was the 42 jars made of stones, which were perhaps used as ancestral bone repository by an ancient ethnic group, however, only 17 remain visible today. The jars are globular, featuring deep, bulbous cavities. Some are partially buried, while others remain entirely underground except for the top cavity. The largest jar measures approximately 120 cm in height and around 200 cm in diameter. Approximately 400 meters from the jar cluster, several half-moon-shaped engraved stones have been found embedded in the ground. Their flat surfaces display carvings of rectangles, circles, and anthropomorphic figures. This prestigious recognition acknowledges PM Modi Ji’s exemplary global leadership and his unwavering efforts to promote cooperation, peace and development across nations. It also signifies the deepening of the longstanding and trusted partnership between India and Ghana.

We have successfully completed the 66.916 km long, 4-lane Greenfield Bandikui Spur, constructed at a capital cost of ₹2,016 crore. This strategically significant project provides direct, access-controlled connectivity between the Delhi–Vadodara Expressway and Jaipur—addressing the lack of a direct route that previously compelled commuters to take longer, fuel-intensive journeys. The new spur is expected to reduce travel time between Delhi and Jaipur from 3 hours 45 minutes to just 3 hours, significantly improving mobility and easing congestion on NH-48 and NH-21. #PragatiKaHighway #GatiShakti
