@bittersteel196 The horror of Sansa’s first period is one of the best sequences in the books tbh. It’s exactly how she should react to the thing which will now mean she can be forcibly married to one of her abusers and be forced to have children.

it takes a certain kind of sensibility to admire sansa for who she is, she has so many layers to her, and ultimately, she’s a sheltered girl facing horrific circumstances... sansa is perfect in my eyes 😭

i find it fascinating how her character interacts with so many literary archetypes and tropes that you can compare her story to many others, and they all feel valid because she encompasses so many different facets

sansa is framed as the snobbish sister, then the captive princess, she’s a belle-like figure dealing with beastly suitors, she’s a gothic heroine, now she’s coached into being a ‘seductress,’ all while carrying connections to figures like persephone and medusa
