Kharkiv today. Russians hit a kindergarten. Trump looks like a paper tiger when he doesn't punish Russia, but wants to make an agreement with it.

Right now in Kyiv, first responders are clearing the rubble of an ordinary residential building after a Russian strike. Another massive attack against our cities and communities. Killings again. Tragically, at least 8 people have already been confirmed dead. One of them is a child. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. People may still be trapped under the rubble. Dozens are wounded. These Russian missiles and attack drones today are a clear response to everyone in the world who, for weeks and months, has been calling for a ceasefire and for real diplomacy. Russia chooses ballistics instead of the negotiating table. It chooses to continue killing instead of ending the war. And this means that Russia still does not fear the consequences. Russia still takes advantage of the fact that at least part of the world turns a blind eye to murdered children and seeks excuses for Putin. We expect a reaction from China to what is going on. China has repeatedly called for not expanding the war and for a ceasefire. Yet this is not happening because of Russia. We expect a reaction from Hungary. The death of children should definitely stir far greater emotions than anything else. We expect a response from everyone in the world who has called for peace but now more often stays silent rather than taking principled positions. And it is definitely time for new, tough sanctions against Russia for everything it is doing. All deadlines have already been broken, dozens of opportunities for diplomacy ruined. Russia must feel accountable for every strike, for every day of this war. Eternal memory to all victims of Russia!

A horrific Russian ballistic missile strike on Sumy.Russian missiles hit an ordinary city street, ordinary life – residential buildings, educational institutions, cars on the street… And that’s on the day when people go to church – Palm Sunday, the feast of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem. According to preliminary information, dozens of civilians were killed and wounded. Only filthy scum can act like this – taking the lives of ordinary people. My condolences to the families and loved ones. A rescue operation is underway. All necessary services are working at the scene. The world must respond firmly. The United States, Europe, everyone in the world who wants this war and these killings to end. Russia wants exactly this kind of terror and is dragging this war out. Without pressure on Russia, peace is impossible. Talks have never stopped ballistic missiles and aerial bombs. What’s needed is an attitude toward Russia that a terrorist deserves. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and helps us defend life.

A Russian missile struck an ordinary city, directly hitting a street in an area with residential buildings. Preliminary reports suggest it was a ballistic missile strike. As of now, 14 fatalities have been confirmed, including six children. My condolences to their families and loved ones. The rescue operation is ongoing, at least five residential buildings have been damaged. Russian strikes occur every day. People die every day. There is only one reason why this continues: Russia doesn't want a ceasefire, and we see it. The whole world sees it. Each missile, every attack drone proves that Russia seeks only war. And only the world's pressure on Russia, all efforts to strengthen Ukraine, our air defense, and our forces—can determine when the war will end. The United States, Europe, and the rest of the world have the capacity to force Russia to abandon terror and war. And this must be ensured—peace is needed.

A Russian propagandist, Rybar, openly mocks @SteveWitkoff for saying he believes in Putin’s good faith. Even Russian propagandists are laughing out loud at this, calling him an 'empty head'.

We Finns know Russia. Finland, a neighbouring country to Russia, consistently remained an independent democracy through the Second World War and the Cold War. Take it from us: Putin has no intention to stop his expansionist pursuit. He will enter talks, enjoy the limelight, and take whatever he possibly can without making any genuine concessions. Russia must be kept at bay and within its own borders with credible economic and military pressure. That is what ’peace through strength’ is all about. Ukraine and Europe deserve to live in peace. There is no panacea. An isolated quick fix leads to more trouble down the line - also to the US. So far Russia has shown no interest in peace. Ahead of any talks, Russia could signal goodwill by, for instance, returning forcibly relocated Ukrainian children back to their parents.  Lasting peace needs a comprehensive plan for the years to come. A negotiated settlement should encompass a process, ensuring Ukraine’s and Europe’s security, including containment of the multi-domain threat Russia is posing. This process could also manage a gradual and conditional easing of sanctions pressure. It can’t be a one-off deal. This is the time for Europe. Europe is stepping up: committing even more to security and further increasing defence spending. And no matter what, Europe will be at the tables deciding about Europe. It’s our people, our values, our future. But defending the free world takes the US, too. This space is closely being watched also in the Indo-Pacific. A secure and stable Europe is in America's interest and going forward, the US will need strong allies.

Ваш вибір: youtu.be/LBWI57RsWcQ?si…

Recently, Lex Friedman offered to interview Zelenskyy in Kyiv. But this would not be his first time in Ukraine - back in 2022, he interviewed @IAPonomarenko but never published it. Why not, @lexfridman?

I used my last doorstep at the FAC to state that peace through de-escalation is a failing and failed strategy. We need a new strategy, a winning strategy, a strategy of strength. Then the phonecalls would actually make sense.
