Participants of #WCSJ2025 are invited to meet at the Union Buildings, near the giant statue of Nelson Mandela, between 7:00 and 7:30am on Thursday 4th December, for a moment of reflection on the history of South Africa and the role of Madiba, who passed away on 5th December 2013.

A very interesting discussion at #WCSJ2025 about science journalism vs institutional science communication. Awesome panel. Learned a cool term "churnalism" where press releases are copy-pasted into news stories. Think about it!

Look around today. Look at water drops on plants, light on objects, smiles or frowns of people around you. Look at this earth a bit closer, and look beyond-at the sun, the moon, the stars. This is the place in space, along the trajectory of the earth, that @carolune was born ❤️💔
