@jmhenner @ISankson @katerowley0 I’m replying as @Jane3Russell rather than @gpodhh .Completely agree Jon but without funding ...or volunteers the only other option is to do nothing. As parents we see our deaf kids being excluded-we know inclusion is important. Be grateful for your ideas - pls DM me.
English

@ISankson @katerowley0 @gpodhh But it’s not inclusive if no signed language interpreting is offered?
English

Arghhhh why is this still happening? The gall of those people ...

This makes me uncomfortable as a deaf adult. A conference for /parents/ of deaf/HoH children, and the "professionals who work with them" discussing how to support deaf/HoH children, that's all in spoken english with no sign language interpretation. Also not deaf led? 🤔
English

@ISankson @katerowley0 Deaf parents with Deaf children were vital to me as a hearing Mum. A Deaf led sign webinar would be fantastic. Pls DM @Jane3Russell if you can help. I am a UK Gpodhh mem. & have a Deaf sign/spkn lang. child. Gpodhh is a global network of parents & more Deaf parents are needed.
English

@katerowley0 As a parent of a deaf child who only signs I welcome this @gpodhh seminar. It’s worldwide so I’m sure it would be difficult to do all languages. Any thing to support us parents whose 1st language is not sign is appreciated - we don’t get enough support in the UK
