I want to give a huge shout out to @BowenWang18 and everyone working on NEAR Protocol. NEAR network has went through an amazing growth over past 3 months, which led work group to add 2 more shards (4 => 6) increasing capacity by 50%. NEAR saw pick up in utilization as part of this as well - yesterday getting to 11m transactions a day by 2m daily active users. Now, there has been congestion on one of the shards, and Protocol Team has been working on optimizations non stop and rolling out more on Monday to address that. More importantly stateless validation that expected to improve 5x throughput for each shard and ability to grow number of shards and should be landing at end of Q2. We see validation of NEAR’s sharding thesis across the whole space - every non sharded chain/rollup are getting filled with transactions and need to grow fees, while NEAR was able to expand capacity by adding more shards and keeping fees stable. Also @hotdao_ is an example of app that is quickly outgrowing even a single shard (chain/rollup) - and potentially can be first sharded application. There is a ton of work happening across protocol and ecosystem to continue making the infrastructure seamless for users and developers and keep the Chain Abstracted. So let's celebrate their efforts as we are onboarding more users into web3! 🐉🔥

Data Availability is crucial in bringing the vision of Chain Abstraction to light. That’s why NEAR powers the most cost-effective and reliable DA service. Ever. They're not just claims. They're bringing the receipts. Compare costs and more here: nearmodular.com

Heard the rumour? It's true! @Calderaxyz customers launching rollups on @arbitrum , @Optimism , and @0xPolygon CDK frameworks can utilize NEAR DA for their data availability layer! Monolithic -> Modular -> Aggregated

Had a brief conversation with @ilblackdragon last year at ETH Denver about BOS and it immediately struck me as one of the more important efforts for what I then called Ecosystem Abstraction or now Chain Abstraction Not sure how it all plays out, but what’s clear is that the combination of Interop (IBC / @union_build), Intents (@anoma and others), and MPC-like solutions (@entropydotxyz) will pave the way for a truly USABLE multichain world. Pair that will decentralized / unified front ends and we are COOKIN.

Just a reminder that @0xPolygon has had parallelization in the works for over a year. Parallelization is quickly becoming a hot button word for CT, and of course, Polygon is already on it. polygon.technology/blog/innovatin…
