So I got pissed. Took the LSAT. Went to law school. Passed the bar. Had 3 more kids. Twelve years later, another woman from that same company was fired for the same reason. She sued them for a million dollars, and won, partly because I had kept every piece of evidence from what happened to me years prior demonstrating a systemic pattern of discrimination against women. That company no longer exists. My law practice is thriving. And that baby they said would derail my priorities? She’s a brilliant attorney now working at my firm. Turns out my priorities were indeed, elsewhere.

🚨‼️ 50 Cents new show Fightland premieres on Starz on 31st July! What does this mean for RK? Just my own speculation - If we are getting 8 episodes for Season 5 starting June 12th, there's a possibility where this time, there are NO breaks. This would line up with a 31st July finish, where we then see Fightland premiere. Again, this is just my own speculation. They could very well have a 1 week break at week 4/5 or 7, who knows. But with Fightland premiering on 31st July, I speculate 8 episodes straight through with no breaks.

I personally enjoyed the #MichaelMovie for what it was! Jaafar Jackson played the fuck out of that role for his uncle! Give him some awards!

Anonymous I’m an apartment manager. We have move-out rules. Thirty days notice or you forfeit your deposit. It’s in every lease. No exceptions or everyone would try it. Got an email from unit 2C. “I need to break my lease. Immediately. I know I lose my deposit. Just tell me when I can leave.” Called her. “What’s going on? You’ve been here three years.” She hesitated. “My ex knows where I live. He got out of jail early. Good behavior. I’m not safe here. I need to disappear.” Her voice was shaking. “I have a place two states away. I just need out of this lease.” Should’ve held her to the thirty days. Should’ve kept the deposit. Fifteen hundred dollars. Instead I said. “Pack tonight. Leave tomorrow. I’ll mark you moved out today. You’ll get your full deposit back.” Silence. Then crying. “Why would you do that?” “Because being alive matters more than thirty days notice. Go. Be safe.” She left that night. Called me from the road. “Thank you. I didn’t think anyone would help me.” Mailed her the deposit check to her new address. Forwarded her mail. Never heard from her again. Two years later got a letter. New address. Different state. “I’m safe. I’m happy. I have a new job, new friends, new life. You helped me escape when I had no options. That deposit helped me start over. Thank you for choosing my safety over policy.” Sometimes rules can wait. Safety can’t.
