A new “golden ears?” Let’s not understate the importance of this surprising result. This is very, very cool. More broadly, modern neuro seems to have forgotten the importance of the bat as a fantastic model organism. Hope this pushes things in the right direction!

Successfully defended my dissertation yesterday😊! Now I am Dr. Swain. Cannot believe it yet! I will start jointly as a Junior Fellow at Harvard Society of Fellows and a JSMF Fellow starting June 2022! Quite thrilled about it! 😇 (Here: ME awkwardly posing with my committee 🤓)
