Well, the ROAD to [Less] Housing Act is back on the radar it seems.
Reminder that this bill effectively bans construction, not just acquisitions, and creates enormous new bureaucratic red tape over housing.

kudos to @rivatez for taking the time and effort to research & aggregate an immense amount of data on egg freezing & IVF. A full evidence base (as opposed to so many marketing funnels dressed up as informed consent) is a critical need for women considering the process.

Publishing the outcome of several months of research on egg freezing and IVF, some of which shocked me. Most American women aren't told there are different versions of freezing/IVF protocols— and the version they're offered by default is often the most aggressive. In much of Europe and Japan, women get half (or less) of the same medication for the 'same' procedure and outcomes. The assumption baked into American fertility medicine is that more is better. More eggs help up to a point; past it, you're buying more hormone exposure and more risk — not necessarily more babies. Long-term safety data on healthy women taking these protocols repeatedly at these doses doesn't yet exist. The studies that look reassuring follow women for 5-10 years, not 30. You want to get to a point where you're so into something in your life that other people's behaviors no longer even register in your mind
Someone randomly blocks, ghosts, or provokes you, literally who cares. You raise your eyebrow for a split second, then never consider it ever again
Someone bumps into, stands in front of, or inconveniences you, simply not a problem. You legitimately can't be bothered to react. You just smile and keep walking ahead
It's all completely unforced. You're not trying to be chill. It's merely a natural side effect of having a way more meaningful object of fixation to nourish and satiate all of your stores of mental energy
Never seen a respectable individual who loved who they are and where they're headed ever let an external annoyance one shot them out of that vibration
The thoughts in your brain are the safe space and you have no interest in inviting junk in without your permission

Some happy news (and a rare personal share) to cheer up everyone’s feed. Today, after almost half a year in the NICU, our little guy finally came home.
If you know a NICU doc or nurse, please hug them for us. They are the closest thing we have to angels on earth.

February - we're remote & can work from anywhere to escape the cold (I'll be in southern Spain / Morocco this year!) - highly recommend!

I have had bad tinnitus for the last 3 years. I scored around 75 on THI - it was pretty debilitating.
I tried cutting out alcohol, caffeine, sleeping more - nothing really helped.
For the last three months, I've used a new FDA-approved device from @LenireTinnitus. I now score about 15-20. The tinnitus is barely noticable.
It's not cheap (around $4000) but it has improved my life pretty dramatically.
