My first graders loved flashlight reading with a partner this morning! They all found a spot to read their baggie book to a friend with mini flashlights and a nice crackling fireplace in the background! It helped us warm up on a cold, winter day.🥰 @BigTreeElem

Today our class finished presenting their “How to Catch a Turkey” STEAM project in First Grade @BigTreeElem! Every student made a Turkey Trap at home to bring in and present with their mini play doh Turkey. The little play doh Turkeys really did not have chance of escaping!🦃😄

Camp Read-a-Lot was a success!!

We really enjoyed our last day before Spring break in Virtual Kindergarten! The students sorted and graphed jelly beans from a plastic egg and ate their first “mud cup” during our Pete the Cat Read Aloud at the end of the day! @FrontierCSD @CloverElem @DeanneALester

We celebrated Valentine’s Day in Virtual Kindergarten today! Each student made a digital Valentine’s Day card for our class using @Seesaw and each time I shared a students card, they all made big heart hands to show their LOVE and appreciation!💗@CloverElem @DeanneALester @Seesaw

I gave the students a challenge to go with our read aloud, "How to Catch a Turkey". Students shared their plans (drawing draft) and final projects today. I am so proud of the creative, clever turkey traps these 1st grade engineers came up with!
