A few friends texted me to see if I’m ok (since I’d ghosted absolutely everyone) & to let me know Twitter (which I’d deleted for a bit) was asking about me. I didn’t have language sturdy or capable enough for how brutal this past year was so I went quiet. Deeper into loneliness.

@mskathykhang Still think we need those shirts that say “I’m the other Asian” or “I’m not her” to have on hand any time I’m attending a conference/event. Remember when someone wanted to give @gracepcho her book proposal at FFW because she thought Grace was Jessica?

So. Many. Times. Once, I was asked to endorse a book only she had me confused with another Asian American author. It gets better. She emailed me through my blog which is MY NAME & to my email which also includes MY NAME. But started her request with “Ruth, I love your work...”
