Look after each other folks. Spread and share the five D’s. These provide really helpful tips for ways to intervene if you see someone experiencing harassment. These visuals from @righttobeorg provide a useful summary. And lots of orgs offer #activebystander training. I’ve personally worked with @FpsJulie and highly recommend if you’d like to offer training in your organisation, workplace, school, community or faith space… Our care, love and humanity will prevail.

As it gets darker on here, I've gone over to check on Bluesky again - very noticeable that loads of people are doing the same. Nice to hang out somewhere that doesn't smell of sulphur, or madly threaten to sue people for not advertising with them.

@equalsShaun Yeah I'm getting to that point where I don't want anything to do with them any more. The cons are out weighing the pros for me, at least at the moment.

Reaching the conclusion that Twitter and several other social media platforms should just be banned in the UK. I'll miss you all as I have genuinely good dialog on here. Maybe see you a11y folks over on LinkedIn instead.

@NoContextBrits Social media ban for a start. Then much more clarity and simplification over universal credit so everyone understands the benefits and social security systems properly. Then education programmes to combat xenophobia.

What does the UK need most right now?

@Noah_Halpin Once my WRAPPED Christmas present was a box with loads of tiny bottles of hotel and airline toiletries they'd stored up from their travels, and a load of condiment sachets. Baffling.

@Noah_Halpin It's not an Irish mother thing, always happens when we visit mine or my partners parents. Last time I came away with a 20 pack of Blue Riband chocolate wafers I'd not *seen* in shops since the 90s!

@piccalilli_ Yeah nice. Personally, I'd never limit the width of the body element like that. I'd always prefer a class that uses a custom property for the max width and can be applied wherever needed. Easier to have full bleed sections or different background colours that way

@thosethatcan As a small child in the 80s I decided a metal replica toy gun was a great thing to take in my hand luggage heading to the USA. My mum said "pack whatever you want to play with on the plane".

What’s the best holiday packing faux pas your or your loved ones have made? Reminded of when our then 6yo packed her favourite rocks from the driveway and brought them to France, but neglected to bring any pants.
