⚠️ Pitch inspection Please be aware Aberdeen FC contacted the SPFL earlier this afternoon to arrange a pitch inspection ahead of this evening’s William Hill Premiership game between Aberdeen and Celtic. Prolonged rain over the last few weeks has made the pitch heavy. The groundstaff have been working tirelessly to get it ready but there is an area of the surface at the Merkland end that is causing concern. A referee will inspect the pitch at 4.00pm and we will update supporters as soon as a decision has been made.

Aberdeen’s Nilsen-Keskinen-Polvara(?)- Nisbet move in the second half v Falkirk is exactly the football everyone was expecting from Thelin’s Dons. But how often have we seen fast, accurate attacking moves, ending in a decent cross from a winger who stays wide like that? Do that.

Frustrating. There should be enough game knowledge to hold on, so really two pts dropped: Motherwell’s retention and passing in deep areas was very good but didn’t lead to much more than a couple of half chances. Poor chances missed, awful goal conceded, fair result.

In fact, 2-1 flattered us and it could’ve come close to six again if Hibs had been more clinical. I’ve defended Jimmy for the best part of a year but I just don’t have it in me anymore. How on earth he thought that eight of the starting XI who were embarrassed less than 72 hours previously deserved to start again is baffling. He took Keskinen off after half an hour in Athens cos it wasn’t working with him at LWB, yet he brought him on in that position again. Even little things like leaving a 6’4” defender back at corners rather than utilising his height make no sense at all. Frame, Kjartansson and Bilalovic must be shocking in training before they can’t get any minutes in this squad. Fair fucks to any Dons fans who are making the long trip to Kilmarnock after this. Three wins and ten defeats in fifteen games in all competitions is shocking.

@Zanderpaul_13 He’s not adapting to the strengths and weaknesses of his squad. We’ll never know how much influence he’s had over signings, but if you look at those he definitely has, he’s not doing well. SH-N’s best days are long behind him and Jensen is just not good enough

For a heap of us, Jimmy Thelin gave us the best day of our lives following Aberdeen FC. That was just four months ago yesterday. For me, we need to stick with the process and back our manager. SF
