I always dread the Summer solstice because it is the time of the dog meat ‘festival’ in Yulin, China. Simply barbaric. Tens of thousands of dogs are tortured, killed and sold to eat. It’s truly horrendous and this so called ‘festival’, and what happens all year round, is a huge stain on this world. This year some of @harbinshs have gone there to show what’s happening and make an impact. If feel you want to do something at this time, follow them (they are most active on insta) and support their efforts. We’re donating today, I will be educating myself more through their posts and experiences, and I will be hugging our little Iz whizz very tightly. If it wasn’t for Slaughterhouse Survivors Izzy’s life would be very different, if she even had one. I think about that often and about the dogs who have lost their lives in the cruelest ways possible. Thank you slaughterhouse survivors for all that you are and all that you do x
