Realizing we went from “America First” to “Americans be careful everywhere on Earth” in about 3 weeks
Polymarket@Polymarket
BREAKING: Department of State advises Americans worldwide to exercise increased caution.

@costa61035 @NYCkopp Because the mosques are limited in size. I live between a couple, and during holidays i can see they fill up.
English

@NYCkopp Propoganda. Hundreds of mosques and masjid in NY! Why they pray in the Public parks and Times Square??? Some dirty hands are pushing them to do that publicly so they can play mind games ohh muslims are conquering the western civilization…

@AdameMedia @CNN , Harry Enten needs his own X account. Just screen shots of his polls. He’s a treasure.

@HustleBitch_ Small living forces you to consume less. I live in a Brooklyn townhouse—the space and outdoor space is great. But more space = more stuff, esp with 2 teens. I’m trying to spring clean and it’s depressing how much stuff there is. I envy small spaces like this.

🚨 SHE HAPPILY PAYS $3,175 A MONTH FOR A 350 SQ FT APARTMENT IN NYC — AND CALLS IT A “DEAL” — WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE INSIDE
A woman just showed her NYC apartment… and you can basically see the entire place the second you walk in.
Only ONE real window. No washer or dryer. Barely any storage.
They had to add their own kitchen island… build extra storage… and stack shoes wherever they fit just to make it livable.
She says she uses artificial lighting just to make it feel brighter… and hauls laundry down the street every week.
And somehow… this is considered a “deal.”
She says renovated units in the same building go for over $4,000/month.
The part that’s blowing people’s minds?
She says she loves it… and doesn’t want to leave.
At what point does “living in New York” stop being the dream… and start feeling like you’re paying luxury prices to live in a box?
English

@HustleBitch_ I live in a 3800 sf townhouse, but I have to say, for NYC, this really is a charming, well-maintained apartment for one. It’s probably in a central neighborhood with a great walkability rating. Also, if you are young and want larger space for cheaper, you need to have roommates.
English

@TheClipArcaq @HustleBitch_ She probably lives in a nice neighborhood.
English

@HustleBitch_ People really do pay anything for a roof over their heads in NYC, huh?
That’s insane!
$3,175 for a shoebox with one window?
What’s happening to the world?
I can't believe some people call that a "deal." It's wild out here!
English

@EnjoyerRangus @DemsHypocrisy @HustleBitch_ I like not having had a car since 1995. I like that I’m more fit now than when i moved here in my 20s because it’s normal to walk 15-20k steps a day.
English

@DemsHypocrisy @HustleBitch_ I like not having to drive and hour and a half to get groceries. I can simply walk down the block.

@AttorneyCrump Instead of admiring someone for winning an award for a mid-tier movie they should be working on infostructure.

I love this energy! 🔥🔥 What an amazing tribute to Michael B. Jordan from a talented young group of kids in Uganda. This is the kind of joy and pride that shows just how far our stories really travel.

@Darren12555 @writestuff72 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ You said NYC is safer than the boroughs, which doesn’t make sense.
English

@grammarflic @writestuff72 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ Jesus Christ, read between the lines bud, she means manhattan, I know what nyc is and what the boroughs are I live here, use some common sense
English

@writestuff72 @Darren12555 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ I’m talking NYC, too. I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan. They are both boroughs of NYC. I walk to and from work over the Brooklyn Bridge.
English

@grammarflic @Darren12555 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ I am talking NYC, not the suburbs - big difference.
English

@Darren12555 @writestuff72 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ Ok, guys—some NYC education: NYC has 5 boroughs, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island. Manhattan is a borough of NYC. NYC refers to all 5 boroughs.
English

@writestuff72 @grammarflic @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ NYC is safer than the suburbs … or the boroughs anyway
English

@writestuff72 @Darren12555 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ Brooklyn is not a suburb, it’s (an enormous) part of NYC. Brooklyn is more than a million people larger than Manhattan.

@writestuff72 @Darren12555 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ I live in downtown Brooklyn, all of the surrounding neighborhoods are lovely and interconnected. You can walk from manhattan over Brooklyn Bridge through dumbo along the waterfrontor through Brooklyn Heights to cobble and Boerum Hills to Park Slope…
English

@writestuff72 @RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ I am a woman with a teen daughter and we both commute alone, I take walks by myself all the time. It’s pretty safe. You have to know where to avoid, but I’ve had to walk to a CVS at 2am for emergency medication for my kids, i lived to tell the tale.
English

@RaySalomone @HustleBitch_ Haha, okay ... I love it. I can take walks by myself, go down our main street and know thugs aren't stealing or trying to burn buildings down, and even keep our doors unlocked if we wanted. Why wouldn't you want to live in a safe place??
English

@EjaeRumiBias @kenjeong I love this song. I don’t listen to k-pop, but after a conflict with an asshole, this song popped on my algorithm—and was perfect!
English

Emma Stone and Michael B Jordan being really happy for Ejae at the #Oscars after her big win!

English

@TidyguyKC @SoveyX You guys are comparing subtitled foreign films to mainstream. A LOT of people do not watch things that are subtitled. K-Pop crossed over, much in the way Crazy Rich Asians did.
English

I am so tired of this “representation” nonsense.
Speak for yourself, not “Koreans everywhere.”
You’re not the Rosa Parks of Korean film.
Last time I checked, we’re doing just fine.
If you don’t believe me, just look at Americans Netflix queue.
PS: The Korean film “Parasite” won Best Picture in 2020.

@gotrice2024 I have lived in NYC for decades. I stopped taking taxis bc even though I am a New Yorker, taxi drivers would always assume I’m an Asian tourist and take me the craziest, most $$$ routes. And then uber came along and stopped that behavior. Now every driver behaves.
English

This young lady ordered a taxi fresh off the plane in Japan. She got in the back and got comfortable. She then asks how much the fare would be, after the conversion she found out it would be $213.
After expressing concern over the price of the fare, the taxi driver helped her find a cheaper option. The taxi driver takes her to the bus station in a nice area with good shopping awhile she waits for the bus.
The driver even asked her if she had cash because the bus was cash only, the young lady said she would go to an ATM, fearing the young lady would not have been able to get money out, she runs back to her cab and gets money out for her. It’s amazing to me that the taxi driver wasn’t willing to take advantage of the tourist. Not only did she find her a cheaper option, she even paid for it too, the world would be a better place if we all looked out for one another, wouldn’t it?
