@PekalaLaw The absolute nerve of these greedy bottom-feeders. Many parents don’t even get a 5% pay increase annually. Certainly don’t have 85% of their healthcare paid for. This isn’t even realistic. Let them strike, home school your kids - these “educators” don’t give a crap about them.

@PrattKap @PekalaLaw Why don’t you look up the board’s most recent offer? You’ll find that the district is misrepresenting the numbers and that many teachers would actually get a measly 2% raise for this year, which doesn’t even cover CPI.

BREAKING: The Fenton board voted unanimously to terminate Michael Berago’s employment. Michael had multiple allegations of inappropriate s*xual conduct with students and the superintendent reportedly covered it up for years! Parents are saying it’s not enough and are demanding @Fenton_Supt resign!

BREAKING: Parents are describing an alleged 10-year r*pe coverup at @FentonHS. Mike Berago is listed as a "Director of Educational Equity" at the school. Newly unearthed police reports reveal allegations of inappropriate s*xual conduct with students since at least 2012. Parents tell me the school has been covering it up for years. He is still listed as an administrator on their website. .@Fenton_Supt needs to provide answers ASAP and be transparent with parents about this!

And before anyone says, “Well I’m a [insert any trade] and I have to buy my supplies!” That is true, you do… BUT YOU CAN ALSO WRITE OFF EVERY PENNY SPENT ON SUPPLIES (AND EVEN TRAVEL) ON YOUR TAXES. Teachers only get $250.

Teachers should not have to crowdfund for school supplies. Teachers should not have to buy their own school supplies. And teachers sure as hell shouldn’t have to compete for money to use for school supplies, especially not in a crowded arena.
