I’ve fallen down such an early Radiohead wormhole & it’s reminded me just how good they are. And how unexpectedly, exceptionally good they are at covers.

It seems very fitting that a man who was always last to go to bed should pass on the longest day.

Essentially waiting for someone to die of sepsis & organ failure because we are unable to humanely intervene.

This isn’t to fault the care he has received in hospital which has been exemplary. Just that it is a horrible, slow and painful way to go.

My dad died nearly 18 years ago. Father’s Day has generally lost its pain, and my main job over the last few years has been to remind R to send a card to his own dad. This year it feels a lot harder.
