@LilFrier @SowerProject7 I think there's a space in which Christian bands can be Christian without having to appeal only to Christian listeners. Had the bands you speak of made their lyrics more generally acceptable AND kept the faith AND continued to make quality music, things might be different today.

@LilFrier @SowerProject7 I hear you, but I think the difference is that the bands you are thinking of didn't just change to a more acceptable lyrical approach - many of those bands became apostate (Underoath) or progressive (Relient K) or the quality of the music behind the lyrics fell off (Switchfoot).

@SowerProject7 Christian musicians today have kept the unapologetically Christian part, but have lowered the bar musically. It's simple - for Christian music to be relevant again, Christian music needs to be good again - not just good to Christians, but good to a variety of audiences.

@SowerProject7 The early-to-mid 2000s were full of bands that were unapologetically Christian and yet appealed to secular audiences (Skillet, Relient K, Switchfoot, Underoath, Grits, etc).

So this whole Noah’s Ark discovery… yah it’s not legit. If we could deal with reality for just a moment and suspend what a lot of people *want* to be true rather than what is true — pretty much everything about the facts coming out of this story are embroiled in sensationalism and non-credible archeology. I believe there was a Noah and an Ark. But the formation in the Anatolian Mountains is almost certainly not the remains of that.

@BrendanSchlaub @KMaherNews12 @News12LI I wouldn't necessarily say that. But, even if the NPB was perfectly comparable to MLB... a 4.41 ERA just won't cut it - especially with the baggage that comes from Trevor Bauer's abrasive personality.

Trevor Bauer says he's talked with every MLB team about a comeback. He says they do not question his "talent or effectiveness." So is it his image after sexual assault allegations that scares teams? I asked him that today. @news12li

Coleman Crow, acquired way back in the Tyrone Taylor/Adrian Houser trade from the Mets in December of 2023, will make his MLB debut tonight as the Brewers' starting pitcher. He has a 4.02 ERA in his first 15.2IP in AAA this year with 18 SO. Easton McGee optioned to AAA

As a batter that stood on top of the plate, didn’t ever move out of the way, and got hit all the time, it’s insane to me that Contreras is ever upset about HBPs. You can’t have to it both ways. You can’t be upset that you got hit, when you’re basically trying to get hit.

The Milwaukee Brewers need to revoke their players' ABS Challenge privileges until at least the 5th inning of every game. We can't keep entering the 2nd inning down a challenge.
