No. Hogan was the guy with the most charisma of that time. 1974 Dusty or 1978 Billy Graham would have been closest but I don't think they would have been as strong.

@davemeltzerWON Dave, do you think if Vince had chosen Flair or Dusty or Savage to be in the Hogan role (not the character Hulk Hogan, but his top guy) or another major star of the same era, they could have still achieved the same level of success?

Yeah, we used to see matches like this and amazing stuff regularly in PWG. Feel so sorry for the people who never went, never watched, but still complained while we were seeing so many of the future greats making their names.
