@1116sen The number one team in the league with just one rep? Tells me they have such an even depth of talent...or they are just out of sight and out of mind of the wise men from the east !😊
English

@7AFL the knockers bleating that they havent beaten anyone of substance is starting to look a bit wobbly, and frankly, an insult to those clubs they have beaten !
English

@FreoSeppo I dont think he has played a bad game all year, but he was outstanding tonight ! 3 charlie votes for sure.
English

@Markedw yes. and the sooner Darcy is back to replace Cox the better. Is a poor overhead mark for all his height !
English

@OversLife Yes, if you ever get the chance to see him live, I recommend him.

@grayb6408 Thanks a lot for sharing this. Can imagine what an evening that must have been. He looks like someone we all would love to have in our groups 😁🥂

Remember when Kerry O'Keeffe found a woman in his house during COVID? 👀
While talking to Shane Warne and Howard, he got tensed and said that:
“When I had to stay home during COVID…
I noticed this woman sitting in my lounge room.”
Warnie immediately went:
“Yeah?” 👀
Kerry continued:
“I was always in and out with Fox Cricket.
But during COVID, I talked to her…”
“And she told me… she was my wife.”
Warnie completely lost it laughing. 😂
And then came the classic Kerry O’Keeffe laughter that’s funnier than the joke.😭

The year ahead: last week the US Department of Agriculture released its first 2026/27 global supply and demand estimates. Global wheat ending stocks are forecast down 1.5%/yr, the lowest since only 2024. Combined ending stocks for the 7 largest exporters are forecast to weaken 14%/yr to 64mmt, also the lowest since 2024. Reduced stocks stem from a 10% drop in production, the second lowest since 2020.
The largest production drop is forecast for the US, -11.5mmt/yr (-21%/yr), and the lowest level since 1972/73. The sharp reduction comes due to a combination of reduced area planted and severe drought. Russian wheat production is forecast at 86mmt, down 4%/yr. Further downgrades are possible due to current challenges to spring wheat planting. Russian Consultancy IKAR estimates Russian spring wheat planting down 3%/yr. The USDA estimates Canadian production down 12.4%/yr. Canadian spring wheat planting is behind schedule due to unusually cold and snowy conditions, potentially putting further downward pressure on production estimates. The USDA forecasts Australia to produce 30mmt this year, down 6mmt/yr. With fertiliser prices up so sharply, USDA wheat production figures may be revised lower due to a shift away from wheat and into other crops across Australia, Argentina and Canada. Farmers in all three countries are currently deciding how much to reduce wheat area planted. Farmers in Western Australia are reducing wheat area by 13%/yr according to GIWA.
The USDA estimates global oilseed production to hit a record 718mmt in 2026/27, up 3%/yr. The gains are primarily driven by soybean production hitting record levels in Brazil. Global canola production is set to hit a record 97mmt, up 1.5%/yr. Further production upgrades are possible as data is gradually released regarding the shift away from wheat and toward canola in Canada and Australia due to poor profit margins. While production is on the rise, canola prices are being supported by strong biofuel demand, partially due to favourable biofuel policy but also due to flow-over demand due to high crude oil prices. As of 20 May, global oil prices are up 82%YTD.

@GavinHooper70 @WestWXWatchers bureau of mythology cant even tell me if I will get any rain next week, let alone winter
English

@WestWXWatchers Waste of time. They're more often the opposite of what actually happens.
English

Below average winter rainfall likely
The Bureau have released their long range rainfall summary for AU, and for the South West Land Division its not painting a great picture.
After some solid starting rains for much of the region post TC Narelle and other rounds of thunderstorm activity, May has not delivered much if at all, and the next 3 months we are looking at a 60% to 80% chance that rainfall is likely to be below average for south-western AU. The dry signal over the three‑month period is heavily driven by stronger probabilities of below‑average rainfall emerging later in the season more so than earlier in the winter season. This is evident when analysing the monthly chance of above median for June and July, which is signally generally average rainfall for the month.
Over south-west, this rainfall forecast from the Bureau's ACCESS-S model is generally consistent with forecasts from most international models, which also show drier than average rainfall. However, the extent of the dry signal is generally larger in other models.
What are your thoughts on these long range forecasts and how might it affect you?

@tofar1 commiserations friend ! Every day seems to bring a new drama here too. old gear is such a pain.
English

@knightd73 @grayb6408 @PeterRobins350 I’m confident on a break in the next week. Nature has spoken over the last 2 weeks.
English

Big rain that dropped 200mm onto some places in South Africa is coming to us.
Great news for my silent partner who takes 47% each year with no risk (not counting all GST) plus more again when I die to set next generation back significantly

@HoolyMcg @PeterRobins350 think there are plenty of good areas around, just not here. 20mm in march, 13mm in april. 3 households and a thirsty boomspray . thank goodness I dont have stock to keep water up to as well !
English

@grayb6408 @PeterRobins350 That’s not a lot of rain Baz. Maybe Mike Lamond got his estimates of WA wrong the other day?
English

@PeterRobins350 @HoolyMcg finding it very hard to joke about the weather atm. just 33mm in the last 7 months, with zero on farm water reserves.
English

@HoolyMcg Yeah think the next few showers in the next few days maybe light and scattered…not a season opener
Then someone pulling the piss will tell me it always rains after a dry spell 🤣🤣🤣
