@lilf4tso if you think a poor hungry child stealing a piece of bread from a rich guy is okay, then obviously you're okay with the rich guy stealing a piece of bread from the hungry child. right???
English

@deepfakedog i used to be insecure in the same way but then i realized that other people's attraction to me doesn't define my gender. wild concept!
English

"as a trans man if a lesbian thought I was hot-" I'm sorry to tell yall but attraction does not wait until you explain your gender identity to set in!

ez !!@androgenpup
hopefully this time a random cis dude won’t qrt this telling trans people how to be trans < 3
English

@eirianqueer "who cares"
idk, the ones getting murdered by cis men with their cis girlfriend watching? probably?
English

@Etanarachel what is it with people not being able to, in their mind, separate sexual desire from patriarchal objectification? surely they're entangled, but they're two different things still. talking pure attraction, there is no way to draw a line between genders except with bioessentialism.
English

@the_corvidae what you are talking about is political. what i'm talking about is much wider.
the impact of art is not necessarily political. it can be personal, emotional, etc. i have personally never seen a single person say art has absolutely no impact. this is unrelated to your point.
English

@greeneniigma the refrain these people consistently use is that art/media has no impact on culture/beliefs/“the real world” and that art (or anime/video games/whatever it is) is “apolitical” IDK what you’re talking about lol
English

@the_corvidae oh no i know what you're talking about. people certainly deny whatever impacts they want to ignore. what i meant was that people don't generally deny that art can have an impact. wether they acknowledge specific impacts or not is another story tho...
English

@greeneniigma IDK how you can be in fandom without encountering the mob of people who are all “stop bringing politics into it! this is apolitical! just let people enjoy things, stop trying to do critical analysis!” but I am very, very jealous
English

@NightWyldSystem idk from what i've seen they appear to be a hive-mind of 14 year olds who think reading manga of abusive relationships makes you a de facto abuser. 😭 idk tho.
English

@thebutchcraft not to mention that the comparison doesn't even make sense. if you need to, at least compare transmasc lesbians to transfem gays. both common!
English

@the_corvidae wait, people in fandoms think art has no impact? how? 😭
English

@greeneniigma @NightWyldSystem you must not be into fandom then lol
English

@NightWyldSystem it's not exactly an instance of expecting people to guess the meaning like allistics usually want. it's more, context-dependent? like an inside thing? people who are familiar with the discourse know. for others it might be confusing yes.
English

@anitsoga_ if you don't like dick you're not a lesbian. go make a label for yourself instead of changing the meaning of lesbian smh. 🤦🏻♂️
English

@cypressidy it shouldn't "be expanded". it has always included many gender experiences. like many cultural gender identities that fall outside the binary were describes as both man and woman. that is by definition non-binary, but also includes those two genders that make up the binary.
