I have more money than ever but less things than ever. In 2023 and 2024, I bought everything I thought I wanted. $20K watch. Then a $50K watch. Then a $200,000 supercar. Five star hotels every month. Designer bags and jewelry for my wife. And I had this obsessive personality towards all of it. I would lay in bed from 10pm to midnight just scrolling videos of these things. Every ounce of effort I had went towards working for the next purchase. Then I'd get it, feel good for a bit, and start looking for the next thing. I really felt like I was on the hedonic treadmill.
