Spent yesterday soldering back on the battery connectors 2 the back of the Gameboy's circuit board and also putting on the new screen. Bit of headache with fitting that on even though it came with a plastic tool 2 help mount it on. Also forgot 2 restore colour 2 one plastic bit

@Pepsuber88 @nitroki11er Yeah I sent my first to Ninty as was still under warranty at the time. Took an age to sort and problem reared its head again a matter of months later. Don't trust their dodgy 3rd party repairs now unless I absolutely have to

@nitroki11er @greenwolf Nintendo do free joycon drift repairs if you send it to them. Though at least if you're doing it yourself, you know you've done the job well. I sent mine off to them, did have to wait over a month but got then back with that issue sorted among other issues.

Finally got around to fixing my stick drift on my switch, brought this little kit that was recommended by @greenwolf for £10 on Amazon and just took apart the controller and replaced the stick. Re calibrated the stick on the switch and it's fixed it! That's saved a good £45

@nitroki11er I've had to fix them 3 times now. Poxy shitty Switch controller design. But they do hall effect sticks now. A bit more pricey at like 22.99, but probably worth the upgrade as won't suffer drift. Next repair I'm putting them in

@nitroki11er @Pepsuber88 Around 4.99 will get you a new joystick for the joy con off ebay. Easy fix, did it for 2nd time (not same joy con) last weekend.....on a joy con previously repaired by Nintendo under warranty I might add. iFixit have great guides, but can do for you if needed 👍

@Pepsuber88 It's shockingly bad, I like my switch but what keeps me from loving it is the drift. Id expect more from Nintendo tbh, I've tried updating the joy cons and recalibrating them. I would look up the 8bit ones but I can't afford new joy cons or any other form of controller at the mo

The switch has the worst controllers ever, I'm not refering to how ergonomically bad the joy cons are especially when attached to the switch it's self, I'm talking about stick drift, it's got so bad it's made everything virtually unplayable.
