Bit of a surprise, as Czechia decides not to take Adam Klapka on their final World Championships roster.
Klapka had suited up in a pair of warmup events and was expected to make the team, but ends up being a final cut instead. #Flames

@RingOfFireCGY What bothers me is Treliving was desperate and Florida took advantage by unloading Huberdeau as I’m sure they knew he wasn’t the player his stats would make one believe

I’ll add come context to this.
I’m doing these grades based on expectations heading into the 2025-26 season
My expectations for Huberdeau were low. The days of him being a high end player in the NHL are over
I think he is a 50ish point player
Based on that, I gave him a C

#Flames Report Cards Jonathan Huberdeau: C It was a rough year for Huberdeau. He put up 25 points in 50 games and was a non factor on the majority of nights. A lot of that probably had to do with injuries. He got hurt in the preseason and was also dealing with a hip issue.

@FlamesNation C…but we need to see the player he is when games matter and he is expected to contribute every game…Flames were out of it early and Frost was not much a factor until they were well out of the race.

Nathan Lukes, 3-for-32 to begin the season, has been experiencing intermittent dizziness and nausea since spring training. He was recently diagnosed with vertigo.
Blue Jays medical staff cleared Lukes to continue playing and coaching staff trusted him to battle through it.

Zayne Parekh has taken four massive hits in this game.
It would be nice to see the Flames go after some of the Ducks best players.
Parekh needs to be more aware of his surroundings. But it would also be nice if his teammates stood up for him more.
