@StephHughes95 Ian and I worked "eyeball to eyeball" back in those days, getting the show to air. I'd sit down and say, what have we got? And he'd say, not much. And then we'd build a show together and be proud of what we achieved. He was a great producer, and great friend. He will be missed.

Journalism has lost a great reporter, editor, producer, mentor, and all around great guy. Many people have come to know him well at BNN, he taught so many new people to the industry, myself included. Many others in many industries have come to know him as a close friend.

I haven’t been on Twitter for a while because my partner, @IanVandaelle, has been in the hospital since Nov. 18. It’s with a heavy heart today that I say he was declared neurologically deceased this week and taken life support this morning. He was 33 years old.
