SE is an overhyped and honestly mid at best raid, if it didn’t have the larp aspect I think more people would see that

@LukeCB14 Something is definitely fucked up with Vow lighting and textures. The now bone white obelisks are the most obvious example. I assume it’s not being talked about since barely anyone is doing the raid.

I genuinely get so taken aback seeing the obelisk fill up white now that I didn’t notice the Mint Retrograde symbol for a good minute.

Another odd thing about the whole Marathon player population argument is, isn't a downward trajectory throughout the current season completely normal? I'm at a point where most of my upgrades are done, vault is full and wallet looks good, so my playtime is winding down. But when that wipe hits and new content drops for season 2 I'm looking to go all in again. Would love to hear from EFT/DF/Rust players?

As someone who has covered Destiny for over a decade, D2 concluded in Final Shape. Not to say that EoF or Renegades don’t have lore importance, but it’s not Light and Darkness Saga. The next real saga should be told in a D3.

Exactly. People think people are just randomly hating on Marathon to fail, no. It’s coming from people who played Bungie games like Destiny before & have been proven time & again that Bungie doesn’t care about delivering what you want. They killed Destiny 2 effectively for this. So no it’s not some random “hurrrr I hate Marathon cause it’s cool” no. They gave up on the people who brought them success. Undervalued, under delivered & abused their good will for too long. So people walked away. Anything else is cope & they know it. Marathon is failing because of Bungie being Bungie. That’s all it is.

@greg_lapierre @LlamaOnD2 Feats and tiered weapons - especially in end-game where they're tied to difficulty - are both great changes. Much more meaningful and engaging than adept weapons and master raids.

Still think it's criminal that both the normal and especially Epic Desert Perpetual Raids didn't receive trailers, genuinely awesome Raids with Epic having probably the greatest final boss encounter to date, yet there was no hype whatsoever for either :/
I'd even argue there was anti-hype for Epic because of Notswap, shame really!

Although SE and DP are arguably better raids, I think Vow is the quintessential Destiny Raid experience. Truly a great piece of endgame content and a personal favorite #ExceptForThePayload
It was also the release that made me switch from a PvP main to a PvE main! #JoeFact

I still stand by this DLC being underhated. Everyone already knows how bad the story and raid are, but even outside of that this was a $50 DLC with such little quantity and quality. Strand single handily carried this DLC for some.
2nd worst DLC in the series, EoF being 1st
