Scottie Barnes on the amount of confidence the team has in the rookie Collin Murray-Boyles: “I just think he changes games.” “Our defence gets better when he steps out there on the floor.” “I think he does an exceptional job out there, and can’t give him enough credit where he’s out there over-performing.” “I think he’s amazing for us on both ends of the floor, and we need him.”

Former Maverick Chandler Parsons says Kon Knueppel is the Rookie of the Year, and it’s not close 😳 "Cooper Flagg is the best player in this draft... but if I had a Rookie of the Year vote, it's Kon Knueppel's and I don't think it's close." (Via @RunItBackFDTV )

The Nets reportedly had hoped that Mikal Bridges would have been good enough to lure Giannis Antetokounmpo to Brooklyn, per @nypost “The Nets never viewed Mikal Bridges as Superman, but as the perfect Robin to team up with a potential Batman like Antetokounmpo. And sources told The Post that Brooklyn’s hope had been to lure the Greek star back in 2023-24. But when Antetokounmpo opted to stay put in Milwaukee, Marks pivoted and traded Bridges to the Knicks that June for a record-setting haul of five first-round picks and a swap.” (Via nypost.com/2026/04/08/spo…)

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo lost a “significant” Nike Bonus after the team refused to clear him to play 💰 🔻 Milwaukee’s choice to sit Antetokounmpo triggered the loss of a substantial bonus in his Nike endorsement contract, which required him to appear in at least 41 games to collect. Antetokounmpo has played in just 36 games this season, a career low. He suffered five separate injuries and missed extended stretches throughout the year. After hyperextending his left knee on March 15 against the Indiana Pacers, the Bucks asked him to shut down for the remainder of the season. Antetokounmpo refused, telling the team he intended to return once healthy and pushing to play against the Utah Jazz on March 17. The Bucks’ medical staff declined to clear him. He subsequently expressed hope of playing later on the road trip but never returned to action. (via ESPN)

The Bucks strongly considered Miami’s offer of Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, and multiple picks for Giannis, per @ShamsCharania. If Milwaukee values Herro and Ware, there’s a good chance that trade talks pick up again this summer, but the Heat would still need to offer much more.

The Bucks were close to accepting the Heat’s deadline trade proposal for Giannis Antetokounmpo, which was headlined by Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware and draft capital, per @ShamsCharania. Milwaukee ultimately decided to wait until this offseason to hopefully maximize Giannis’ value.
