I asked Grok, “what are the logistics of removing a US president via the 25th Amendment?” It’s not as straightforward as often assumed. Sounds like it’d be a mega-drama if the VP + cabinet agree to replace POTUS … but POTUS contests. Congress has the power (in those circumstances) to appoint a new cabinet. Here’s @Grok’s reply 👇 ‘The 25th Amendment, ratified in 1967, outlines in Section 4 the process for involuntarily transferring presidential power when a president is unable to discharge the duties of the office due to physical or mental incapacity. Logistics begin when the vice president and a majority of the principal officers of the executive departments (typically the Cabinet) jointly prepare and sign a written declaration stating the president’s inability. This declaration is transmitted to the president pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Immediately upon receipt, the vice president assumes the role of acting president and begins exercising all presidential powers and duties, while the president remains in office but is sidelined from authority. Congress may later designate another body to replace the Cabinet in this role, but no such law has been enacted. If the president recovers and contests the action, he or she transmits a written counter-declaration to the same congressional leaders asserting that no inability exists. This triggers a four-day window during which the vice president and Cabinet majority must reaffirm their original declaration in a second written notice to the same recipients. If they do, the vice president continues as acting president. Congress must then convene within 48 hours if not already in session and decide the dispute within 21 days of receiving the second declaration. A two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate is required to sustain the vice president’s acting status; anything less automatically restores full power to the president. Failure to meet the two-thirds threshold in either chamber within the 21-day period ends the process, with the president resuming office without further action. The entire mechanism has never been invoked to completion for a contested incapacity, though it was briefly considered in 1981 after the Reagan assassination attempt and in 1987 during the Iran-Contra affair. It serves as a medical and constitutional safeguard distinct from impeachment, emphasizing swift, temporary transfer of power followed by legislative arbitration rather than permanent removal.”

Tucker didn’t change - Trump did. Do those who continue to identify with MAGA lack the memory to recall that the worst of the 2016 #NeverTrump movement are now Trump’s kitchen cabinet. If that wake up call hasn’t woken you up yet, then we’re going to keep blaring it till you do. We should always be grateful to Trump for: 1. Breaking the back of woke BS by defying it. 2. Ridiculing the global warming scam. 3. Plugging the southern border - one more term of a Dem president and all of Latin America’s jails would have emptied into the US. 4. Multiplying the Ron Paul anti-war right faction of the GOP. 5. Demonstrating that an anti-war agenda can win the primary and the presidency three times in a row. 6. Putting DOGE on the agenda. Yes it was then off the agenda in a few weeks … but from now on GOP candidates for president will be asked, ‘Sir, do you support a DOGE or a variation thereof?’ If the western world does DOGE one day it had to start somewhere … and it started with Trump. 7. Being a good case study that even a great man will get corrupted by high office. The problem isn’t the person - it’s the office. We need to devolve and decentralise power. First step is for Congress to reclaim its constitutional duty of being the sole declarer of war.

WOW! PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF IRAN… PRAY FOR THEIR SAFETY AND FREEDOM!
Siaxares 🇮🇷 سیاکسارِس@siaxares

As an Iranian who stayed connected through Starlink during the total internet blackout, I want to wholeheartedly confirm what President Trump just said: "The Iranian people want to be free. They have lived in a world that you know NOTHING about." For 47 years, my people have endured systematic torture, rape, murder, humiliation, anxiety, suppression, and grief under the Islamic Republic. It’s been a long, grinding suffering — punctuated by brutal spikes like the January protests, mass executions, and now war. The world has no idea of the scale or depth of these horrors. Only when this evil regime finally falls will the full truth pour out — in quality and quantity that will shock humanity. We have now reached a point where almost no cost is too great if it rids us of this regime. Because the cost of it staying in power is infinitely higher. If you’re reading this and you can’t understand how any Iranian could feel relief at their own country losing a war and getting bombed… I envy you. You have never lived what we have lived. You have never watched your people, friends, family, and loved ones get tortured, raped, or killed almost daily and over half a century. You have never seen an entire nation slowly but brutally suffocated like this. We tried every alternative imaginable: massive protests, dissent, peaceful reform, negotiations — everything. None of it worked. The regime’s answer has always been bullets, gallows, and more terror. Now, less than 24 hours before Trump’s deadline, I write this with a heavy heart from inside Iran: Whatever happens next — if there is still an Iran left to save and this regime is gone — the Iranian people will be happy with the result. No matter the cost. Because the cost of the regime remaining is higher, and for many of us, death itself is preferable to another day under this nightmare. This is the true sentiment of the majority of Iranians — the voice of a people who often have no internet, no platform, and no way to be heard. The world will soon understand why we say: Anything to be free. Anything to end this evil. #IranMassacre#IranRevolution2026

Trump believes he is threatening Iran with destruction, but it is America that now stands in danger. If he attempts to eradicate Iranian civilization, the United States will no longer be viewed as a stabilizing force in the world, but as an agent of chaos—effectively ending our status as the world’s greatest superpower. This would upend our economy and shatter the global order. The process is already underway, yet we still have time to avert catastrophe if Trump finds the courage to pursue serious negotiations rather than reckless rage and destruction.

Persian civilisation is beautiful, I really don’t want innocents hurt. So I call on the Iranian regime to immediately surrender, tonight, in order to save lives and protect Persian civilisation. The Iranian regime picked a fight against a much bigger power that they simply cannot win. They violated American red lines and kept pushing against America’s sphere of influence, baiting a much stronger military power. And now we are at this incredibly dangerous point. Trump won’t back down, this will only get worse, the only option is for the Iranian regime to surrender immediately. Please, see reason, and end this madness. Stand down and surrender. Save lives.

Making a threat that you cannot follow through on without it being a war crime is not a smart strategy. Following through on a threat that would be a war crime is also not a smart strategy. Even if you believe Trump has no intention of following through on a post in which he says “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again”, the post is indefensible. Even operating at the most charitable basis that Trump is attempting to implement the “madman theory”.

If you're actual takeaway is that Trump is going to commit nuclear genocide against the Iranian people, well, you're a moron. You can disagree with the post, in fact the first line and the last line of the post are antithetical towards each other, so that's a valid criticism. But if you genuinely think he has his finger on the nuclear button, that's something else and you might need help. However, if I'm wrong and he decides to wipe out millions of civilians I will happily join you all in escorting him to The Hague.

Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen to president Trump: “I just want to thank you on behalf of Canada. “The space leadership you spoke of from America is truly is extraordinary. I've said this many times before. A nation that leads like that, and then crates and sets big goals for humanity that brings other countries along with it, is truly incredible. “And I know that's a very intentional, not a necessary decision, intentional decision to lead by example and to allow other countries, like Canada, to share our gifts, and help you achieve these mutually beneficial goals, like establishing a presence on the moon, and eventually going to Mars. And Canadians are so proud to be a part of this program.
