@alwaystheself It's more likely small bone fragments. As for the wreckage, implosions are often caused by a single or a few points of structural failure. Large sections that didn't fail could also have survived intact, especially if they were critical, strong structural components.

@alwaystheself I doubt they are reffering to whole body parts, but it's possible. Small bits of debris may be blown clear of an implosion. They recovers intact work gloves and other intact things when USS Thresher imploded. It's possible some elements of human remains survived in that way.

@patrickklepek If it was just because physical was obsolete that would be fine. The problem is with digital, studious have become comfortable with releasing utterly unfinished games.

I wonder if, eventually, nearly all physical releases eventually become a form of vinyl for video games. The expectation is that you buy it digital upfront, and then purchase a physical copy, produced later, if it’s something you want represented in your home.

Alan Wake 2 is digital-only because it gives Remedy more time to polish. "Like, a significant amount of weeks actually. Because otherwise, the game that goes on the disc, obviously it has to be playable without a patch." eurogamer.net/alan-wake-2-is…

I'm a historian. I do history. I might use a novel as a source, but generally as a primary source for the purpose of writing history. Am I allowed to take a canonical novel and propose new *literary* analysis of a central motif? For a semi-historical piece I'm writing? Be blunt.

The 6yo DM wants to help make your plot hooks better. If you give him a plot hook, he will give you some ways to make it more fun. #dnd

@HollyEvanMarie Yeah if it's published or presented you should, in fact if you're making a similar point to, building off of, or using a previous argument to support your current argument then I think it's required.

People on the job market: CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDERS. Job talk invitations end up in my spam box because SBU's email has decided anyone with emailing from that university's domain is a spammer.

It's outrageous. I never would have gotten to defense without the CIE. They've done more marginalized students than any other office on this campus. Please sign this open letter and tell Admin not to cripple the CIE! docs.google.com/document/d/1XU…

@redwyrmofficial Of course, afterwards I was told that Baldurs Gate III had a very similar start and I was slightly frustrated, but it was still very fun lol

@redwyrmofficial I actually did something similar to a "jail start" recently, I had characters abducted by Neogi and wake up in a Neogi Spelljammer. It worked because it wasn't a surprised, the premise of the campaign was "abducted by aliens" and so the players built their characters around it.

Hot take: Why I don’t like starting in prison. 🧵 1. It removes player agency in the name of an “exciting” start to a campaign. I want to know why my character is in prison. Why didn’t they fight? Runaway? Sneak away? Persuade the guards? Deceive the guards? Die fighting? 1/x

@HN2DM Yes, and my players had more fun. They had an interesting plan that took place over two rounds to finish it off, they successfully out thought the enemy boss, and I wanted their plan to come to fruition rather than killing it early.

Today's DM Question: Confession time! Have you ever increased a monster's HP or damage in the middle of a fight because your players were absolutely slaughtering it? Would you do it again? #ttrpg #dailydmq
