First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity. I also want to thank the coaches, staff, and fans for believing in me throughout my recruiting process. After careful consideration with my family, I have decided to decommit from the Florida State University. This was not an easy decision, and I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the entire program. With that being said, my recruitment is 100% open. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me on this journey.

Lee County LB Jace Murray (@jace_marquis) has committed to Army, he tells me. He held some P4 options, but I’ve found in a short time of knowing Jace that he doesn’t go with the flow. I remember talking to his dad in the spring about Jace’s options, App State was mentioned, and he kind of just chuckled and shook his head at the idea of his son loving the mountains. He's an old soul. Education and a chance to build something sustainable after football was important to Jace. On a football-related note: Murray is an old-school type of linebacker. ...Very comfortable and physical between the tackles with enough lateral speed and quickness to climb over traffic. ...He’s one of the harder hitters I’ve watched this cycle, there are 4-5 clips of him absolutely obliterating someone and knocking off their helmet. ...He’ll have a chance to contribute early on special teams because of that physicality and savvy tackling angles, plus he cares to try in that area.
