This has been bothering me for a while now. When did "tavern" style become a thing? I never heard it in my life until the last 5-7 years I feel like. There's thin crust and there's deep dish

BVM isn’t “shoving” anything through. 😂 We’re backing a budget that actually helps Black and Brown communities—cutting grocery taxes, lowering rents, funding schools, parks, housing, mental health, and violence prevention.

Illinois State Sen Dave Syverson EXPOSES JB Pritzker for giving over 120,000 illegals free healthcare, costing taxpayers over 1 BILLON dollars. Not only that, their healthcare is better than American citizens! Illegals are also getting free daycare, housing, food, and cash. You are not nearly infuriated enough.

NEW IN PIRATE WIRES: “Abolish ICE!” tweet the yuppies as they order midnight burritos, insulated from the shadow economy of debt slavery their orders enable. On a typical night in Manhattan, you’ll see gas-powered mopeds, headlights cutting through steam from street vents. Riders slumped over cups of coffee, helmets at their feet. Towering above them in $4,000/month rentals, customers stare at their phones impatiently. “Your Thai curry is six minutes away.” Everybody knows what’s going on. We just don’t say it out loud. Most of these men on mopeds recently arrived from Venezuela, Ecuador, or West Africa. They aren’t legally allowed to work, but they are anyway, leasing vehicles from brokers for $300 to $500/week, and renting app logins from citizens who farm them out for another predatory fee. No payroll records, 1099s, or workers comp. No real path to lasting freedom. In liberal cities like NYC, customers look away, or tip 35%, thinking it absolves them of guilt even as they accelerate a broken (and illegal) system. The solutions aren’t easy, but instead of cruelty or performative charity, we should aim for integrity. Enforce the border and punish exploitation. End a system that lets you feel good while someone else breaks the law for you. Your burrito might get more expensive, but if we want a humane system, it has to be lawful first. Today in Pirate Wires, @_sagnikbasu on the shadow economy powering your burrito limo. Full story 👇
