@timehop well it was a great relationship until this recent update. Just like that, my 7 year streak is suddenly gone. All so you could add a subscription model to the app?

The pursuit of a better TTFS (Time To First Sip) ☕️ As a #webdeveloper , I've been obsessed by performance metrics and in particular the #TTFB (Time to first byte) for page performance. TTFB measures how long it takes for the browser to receive the first byte of data from the server after making a request. It is a crucial indicator of how fast and responsive a website is. 🚀 But what if we apply the same concept to our daily lives? How can we use the principles of the TTFB for our morning #routine? ☕ That's what I've been experimenting with for the past few weeks. I used to struggle getting all the basics done while I was still trying to open my eyes and switch on the brain resulting in delays in that routine. I've applied the same optimization concepts that I use for web development to getting to my first cup of #coffee faster when I wake up. I call it TTFS (Time To First Sip) and it's all about identifying the critical path and parallelizing tasks around that path: Here is my wake-up routing to have the lowest TTFS possible: As soon as I wake up I go down and start the espresso maker that needs approx. 45 seconds to get ready and I'm on my way to the bathroom. I've positioned the grinder in the bathroom for two reasons: it's farther away from the bedrooms so I don't wake up the rest of family (which would drastically impact the TTFS) and that way I can directly go to the bathroom and start the grind while getting a quick shower. Grinding time is around 1 minute which give me the time to jump in my underpants. I then grab all the rest of the clothes and accessories as well as the freshly ground coffee and go back to the kitchen to the machine. Still in underpants, I pour the coffee into the machine and start the brewing process.  This takes 48 seconds which I use to put on some pants, shirt, hoodie and a watch. Coffee is now brewed and take it to the office where the shoes are waiting under the desk. Light has been automatically switched on a few minutes earlier. Time to boot up the computer and enjoy that delicious coffee while browsing Slack. By following these steps, I've managed to reduce my TTFS from about 8 minutes to less than 4 minutes. That means I can enjoy my coffee sooner and start my day with more energy and focus and more importantly better mood. 💪 Of course, this is just my personal preference and you may have different habits and needs. But I encourage you to try this experiment and see if you can optimize your recurring tasks as well. You may be surprised by how many mistakes you can avoid and how much better you can feel. 😊 Let me know in the comments below. One thing that was said time and time again yesterday by @forrester was customers are expecting personalized sales experiences. I’m excited to get to talk about @platformsh and how Showpad helps us personalize interactions with our customers at the #forrb2bsummit
