Thank you to all the parents who attended school for Open Afternoon. It was lovely to see so many families arrive to share their children's learning whilst enjoying our wonderful school grounds.

We are the first school in Solihull to receive a Peace Pole from the Rotary Club. Members of the school council nominated eight spoken languages from Greswold for the message 'May peace prevail on earth' to be translated into and displayed on the pole. A wonderful addition.

For the second year in a row, Greswold are crowned King Edward's School Maths Challenge winners! Well done children, what a magnificent achievement!

Walk to School Week starts today and Greswold staff are leading the way! Whether it's walking, cycling or getting the bus, it's great to see the staff helping to promote an active lifestyle and reduce vehicle pollution.

We have just received a special message from The Rt Hon Nick Chubb MP, Minister for Schools, that according to our Y4 Multiplication check data from 2022, we are now one of the top 200 performing schools in England! Well done children, teachers and families!

Greswold has received a Young Carers in Schools Award for the work we do in ensuring children, defined as young carers, don't miss out on a full education and receive the necessary pastoral support to improve their outcomes.

The sporting achievements continue at Greswold. The boys' school football team have finished the large schools' league season in first place. They now go into the end of season play-off finals on the 26th April at Solihull Moors with great confidence. Well done everyone!

Newly crowned Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Large Schools' Sportshall Athletics champions 2023!

Congratulations to the Year 5 & 6 Sportshall Athletics team who won the South Solihull Area Final for the second successive year yesterday. They now represent the whole of South Solihull as the large schools' representative in the County Finals on 22nd March.

Over 7,500 journeys to school have been logged on Travel Tracker by Greswold pupils since mid-November with 97% deemed active! Over 500 WOW badges have also been awarded. Well done everyone and keep it going!

Thank you to everyone who visited Greswold on Saturday to help celebrate the PTA Christmas Fayre. A wonderful community event with plenty for families to play, buy, eat and enjoy culminated in a fabulous fundraising total of £5,000, funds which will benefit all the pupils.

Greswold's PTA Christmas Fayre takes place tomorrow Saturday 10th December between 12pm and 3pm. Everyone welcome. Come and join the fun! There's Santa's grotto, face painting, stalls, crafts, bouncy castle, refreshments and much, much more. See you there!

Lots of sporting success from Greswold teams recently. Our Rounders team made it through to the area semi-final, a year 4 cricket team progressed through to the finals after winning their local competition and the Tag Rugby won their recent festival arriving back with a trophy!
