Is anyone just really sad? I guess it is really just grief that kids today will never know a world I knew growing up. We were innocent. We did not have phones and social media which showed us days in a row of people being murdered, raped, hurt, blown up. A world where no one helps and turns a blind eye. Where our first instinct is to pull out our phones to capture the terror that goes on around us. It really started when we turned that phone- that camera away from all of us to focus soley on “ME”. We now have a divided world where “Influencers” tell us how to think and how to act. Algorithms decide what kind of people we are going to be and how we will act. Faith, Family and friends have taken a back seat in life. I mourn the days before we were pushed into this endless cycle of information. We live in an amazing country with endless freedoms and we need to live in appreciation of one another and stop thinking only of ourselves and of material things, money, power and infleunce.
