$BERA – When the Selling Pressure Ends, A New Opportunity Begins
I've been following BERA since the day it launched (Feb 6, 2025). Not because it's an easy token to trade, but because behind it lies an ecosystem with a compelling Proof of Liquidity mechanism — one that builds through products, not hype; that grows its community with real incentives, not shallow airdrops.
But precisely because of that, BERA has had a very real journey:
- Three brutal months out the gate: -28.5% in February, -21.1% in March, and a painful -48.4% in April.
- The price dropped from $6.88 at the end of Q1 to around $4.2 in early May — nearly 80% wiped out in silence.
Most people bailed during that phase. I didn’t. Because I knew the biggest pressure wasn't coming from the fundamentals — it was coming from the unlock schedule. And I waited for one key moment: May 8, 2025 — the day the Boyco group completed their vesting.
Why does that matter?
Because since that day, there are no more major groups capable of dumping tokens for the next 10 months. All significant allocations — investors, core contributors, community funds — are under a cliff until Feb 6, 2026. That means: supply is now frozen, while demand is returning — from Infrared, Kodidak, Dolomite, and the new yield vaults coming online.
So far, about 117 million BERA (~23.7% of total supply) has been unlocked — most of which is staked with validators securing the chain. The remaining ~76% is locked and untouchable until next year. That’s not just a statistic. It’s a signal:
For the first time since TGE, the BERA market has entered a phase of “supply silence.”
And that’s when sentiment begins to shift.
No more sudden red candles from vesting unlocks. No more rumors about “team dumping.” The people who are still here understand that this is no longer just a token to flip — it’s infrastructure that’s starting to come alive.
I won’t say BERA is going to hit new highs this quarter. But if you ask me when is the right time to start accumulating for the long term? I believe we’ve just entered that window.

Toughest thing for me has been encompassing Berachain in a single sentence for the layperson to understand.
Proof of Liquidity is good, but it doesn't quite say enough imo.
At its core, what does PoL do? It's a demand side driver.
This can apply to just about any action on chain, whether that is providing liquidity, utilizing a feature within an application, or performing some other logic gated set of actions.
I'd love input from folks on this as we gear up for even more product improvements followed by a major push into retail post Boyco.
Are we:
"The ultimate accelerator for the application layer"?
"A canvas for infinite economic games"?
"Incentivize anything"?
"The chain that rewards you for using it"?
"Berachain takes you from 0.5 to 100"?
We've shopped this kinda stuff within the team before, but as we're live and people are experimenting more with Bera, I think that public feedback could be helpful - one of our biggest edges is how much the community is willing to contribute, so imma throw this one out there.

RFRV Batch 3 is now live, incorporating recent improvements to governance guidelines. The full 5-member Governance Guardian council is announced, and will ratify reward vaults moving forward.

Updated RFRV Guidelines Incoming
PoL has been live for 2 weeks, which has provided the BGT Foundation overseeing governance with many useful data points about the system's practical capabilities, from both community input and empirical data.
Armed with this information, a number of changes will be made to RFRV guidelines, and the evaluation process in order to:
a) Effectively communicate the goals of PoL, and what makes a good RFRV proposal
b) Increase due diligence on tokenholder ownership & decentralization, protocol PMF, security etc
c) Improve data collection and representation for reward vault frontends (metadata etc)
d) Prioritize and emphasize the use of BERA within reward vaults
With the above in mind, there will be no new reward vaults whitelisted this week as processes are refined, and updated guidelines are published later in the week.
The next round of reward vaults will be announced on Friday, April 11th and whitelisted on Monday, April 14th.
Future updates will also feature a variety of product improvements around reward vaults, incentive claims, and more.
