Los Angeles police say they are addressing what they describe as a health and safety hazard on city streets following an operation at a homeless encampment near downtown L.A. Authorities said items at the site were blocking the sidewalk and that the encampment was crawling with rats. abc7.la/Hj6qfA

This is hilariously representative of the modern Democrat party.
Out of touch billionaire masquerading as a working man’s champion gets aggressively accosted by people demanding gov’t handouts while in a black SUV and has to call for help from the same police they claim to hate.

@LibertyJen So funny. Same here. Maybe not that bad, but occasionally we went to jack in the box. We had a choice. The .99 cent jumbo jack or 2 tacos at .99 cents. Pops said don’t bother with the menu

My parents were boomers.
I am GenX.
As a kid I can remember getting McDonalds maybe 6 times in my childhood. We never got Happy Meals (too expensive.)
We had to share a French fry order. And we could only order 1 hamburger each— my mom brought the American cheese from home and two cans of soda from home.
That’s how tight money was in our house. We couldn’t order a cheeseburger with the melted cheese on it from McDonalds.
This was my reality for a working-class blue-collar two-income family in the 80’s.

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

A construction crew in East Los Angeles accidentally drilled into a 16-inch pipe spilling more than 12,000 gallons of crude oil across the streets and into storm drains.
This will invariably cause gas prices in California to continue to skyrocket and displace the homeless people invariably living in the storm drains.

@N65Michelle @Brookerteejones This is true, but most won’t work for that as fast food chains must pay 20/hr. Also employer must pay Disability, ss, and unemployment taxes to. So 20 per hour is really 26-27 per hour.

@Brookerteejones "The minimum wage in the City of Los Angeles is currently $17.87 per hour for all employers."

Shop owner on Hollywood Boulevard explains to me his frustration. Says he cannot hire employees because minimum wage is $20. Shop owner and wife work 24/7. Frustrated that other shop owners are paying illegal immigrants $10 an hour so they can have employees and stay open. He says he is trying to do things the legal way but it is impossible.

🚨 NOW: LA mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt just dropped an absolute BANGER, drawn from the theme of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Pratt's ads are SO GOOD 🔥🔥
No wonder Karen Bass is terrified.
He's surging.
KEEP PUSHING, @spencerpratt 👏🏻

@RockNRoLL_85 Californacation. The best song about California.

This couple just unboxed their very first Alaskan King bed and it is next-level massive! Many people have never even heard of this size before. Most know California Kings, but an Alaskan King takes things to a whole new level.
For reference, a standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide by 80 inches long. An Alaskan King, however, measures a full 108 inches by 108 inches — that’s 9 feet by 9 feet!
This leaves the question… is the Alaskan King becoming a new trend, or have these giant beds been around longer? And why would anyone need something this big — extra room for kids and pets to pile in, or simply because bigger really is better?
Would you consider getting a bed this large? It’s hard to imagine having to make this bed up every day or on laundry day 😭

@end3of6days9 I wonder where they put the unleaded gas after they pulled it out? Can’t just pour that stuff in the sink.

Two besties put unleaded gas in their diesel UTV… and instead of panicking, they said “if boys can do it, how hard can it be?” 😂
They hit the tractor supply store with the list of items they'll need, picked up some diesel at the gas station, siphon out the unleaded, spent hours in the dark with flashlights and tools, crawled under the machine, flushed the lines, changed the filter — while cheering every bit of progress they made.
Fast-forward to the next morning: they hike back with the portable jumper, and try firing it up and few times… and when that engine finally roared to life? Epic victory dance complete with huge smiles, cheers, and pure “we did it!” energy!
Sometimes the best stories (and the biggest confidence boosts) come from rolling up your sleeves and figuring it out together.
Have you ever tackled a “this should be a guy thing” fix and nailed it?

One of the best campaign ads I've ever seen. And this is exactly what Los Angeles has come to. The leaders of LA should be ashamed of themselves. Vote for @spencerpratt

@RetroNewsNow A lot changed from 88 when I graduated. If kids who were drunk at the prom couldn’t go to graduation, there would be no graduation.

In 2025, the City of San Diego spent $7M to clear tent encampments. However, since the city rarely issues citations or makes arrests for violations, there is little accountability for violating the law so encampments come right back - often within hours of being cleared.
The result is that some city blocks were cleared over 100 times last year.
The sad reality is that, according to the State of California’s 2023 study on homelessness, most of the chronically homeless are suffering from addiction. Without meaningful consequences for their actions, it’s unlikely they’ll ever get help on their own.
Allowing tent encampments is not compassionate to those living on the streets and it’s not fair to the rest of the general public who deserve clean and safe public spaces.

"LA IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK AND NEEDS TO STAY THE COURSE"
STAY THE COURSE - Adrian E. Alvarez, Esq.
Copyright 2026, All Rights Reserved.
(Verse 1)
Look around, tell me what you really see
Beyond the Hollywood signs and the dying palm trees
They painting pictures of a paradise, pristine and clean
But step onto the pavement, it’s a different scene
Recall 2025, the Palisades turned to ash
Hillsides burning up while they counting up their cash
Skies choked with smoke, devastation in the wake
But they smile for the cameras, tell us everything is great
Yeah, that’s the little narrative they try to spin
While we losing the city from the outside in
Shadows on the boulevard, ashes in the breeze
They telling us we're thriving while we're falling to our knees.
(Verse 2)
Crime ticking up, sirens singing every night
Tell us not to worry, tell us everything's alright
Got to lock the doors, watch your back when stepping out
Is this the golden state they always boasting about?
Look at the sidewalks, tents stretching down the block
People left behind while the politicians talk
Got encampments right beside the schools where the kids play
But the suits in the high-rises look the other way
They pointing at the charts, trying to massage the math
Gaslighting the public on this so-called "right track"
Telling us it's rain when they spitting in our face
Running victory laps while they're ruining the place.
(Verse 3)
It’s an illusion, a broadcasted fantasy
A teleprompter speech versus our reality
They say we healing, but the wounds are wide open
The system is fractured, the promises broken
Living in the smog of a political machine
Selling us a script, but we tearing up the screen
We see the scorched earth, we see the broken streets
We hear the daily struggle bumping heavy to the beat
Don't tell me it's fine when the evidence is clear
We ain't on the right track, we derailed over here
So keep the commercials and the hollow little lies
We looking at the city with our own two eyes.
