What we learned in 2020? That oil is worthless in a society without consumption. That healthcare has to be public because heath is public. That 50% of jobs can be done from home while the other 50% deserve more than they’re being paid. That we live in a society, not an economy.

I believe Indigenous folks are geniuses, surviving and thriving. And should be able to live freely and fully. That’s it.

I acknowledge that I’m speaking from my own experience, and from seeing what happened in my family, and also witnessing the communities I’ve been in, and listening to folks sharing their own stories. Doesn’t mean that I speak for every person or story.

I just don’t think that everyone has the same type of “free choice” to make, considering how Christianity was put on Indigenous peoples.

Treaties are mega documents upon which the Canadian constitution exists. Legal documents, yet Canada continues to trick and steal.

@ChloeMa46243619 @yodanschlo @CalamityJayne4 They convinced whole communities that their way of life was demonic, and that they were going to hell. Those same beliefs, that Indigenous ways are bad and mustn’t be spoken about, exist to this day. Elders afraid to share knowledge, songs and stories.
