@Delta Three hour delay on LAX tarmac Friday due to maintenance issues (a radio). Now sitting at gate in Tucson waiting on maintenance to deal with a broken overhead bin. What is happening with your planes? They look new for Pete's sake...

After nearly 5 years of work and waiting, my show #Griselda is not just out in the world, it's the #1 show on #Netflix! To say I'm proud of every person who worked on it would be an understatement. ❤️

@LaRafagaO One TV pilot and one feature I've been noodling on for years. Hopefully I'll eventually finish both before I'm dead. 😂

Getting the deal news, thinking 'bout all the projects I didn't finish for five months. #deal #wgastrong

@JustineBateman Agree 100%. When I'm reading dozens of samples for TV staffing, I'm looking for any excuse to move to the next script. Gimmicks like this are an immediate red flag. So much more important to have a killer first ten pages.

Unless your script is completely top-notch, and this kind of thing flows out naturally as you’re writing, don’t do it. Any script I now read that uses this as a “device” will make me stop reading and pass on it, as a director, immediately.

Early in the strike, I tweeted about room size, went viral. Subsequently got a call from NYT. Nice enough reporter, but kept asking about division in strike lines. I made it clear there was none. Told me I'd get another call to fact check. Shocker, never heard from them again. 🙄

Not to be petty and make this about me, but back in April, a week before the strike was called, an editor from the @nytimes approached me to write a guest essay for the opinion section. (quick 🧵)

@griddlecakes If you kick out the 90% of talentless writers in your room, you may find the remainder gets paid Otherwise you can keep destroying industrial art in America. The YouTubers and podcasters are getting rich on ad money in the meantime lol

Minimum staff size. I keep getting asked about it. I myself didn’t entirely understand until the Showrunner Meeting. Even then, it took three people asking the same question until the pieces locked together for many of us. It is literally for the survival of our union. Why?

@bobreynolds64 You think we're miserable now, just wait until those 500 magical writers you speak of are stuck in a studio sweatshop with no health insurance and pension funds!

@griddlecakes You have it all wrong. 500-1000 writers who are actually talented and paid well could save the industry The current bloated sitch leads to you lot being the most miserable people I’ve seen on the internet

Monday, I was on the line at Amazon. My sign: "Room Size Matters." A man approached, said he was from Variety. Could he ask me some questions? I politely suggested he go to check-in and talk to a WGA captain. He pointed to my sign. "But that's what I want to talk about." 1/2
