Croft and I finished JADE LEGACY last night, and...wow. I closed the book and said, "What. A fucking. Masterpiece." And truly, it is. Everyone should read this series. And for all those execs searching for "the next Game of Thrones". Knock it the fuck off and make this instead.

I saw Dune: Part Two at a private studio screening, and it is gratifying to see my father's story told with such great care. When the new movie is combined with Dune: Part One it is by far the best film interpretation of Frank Herbert’s classic novel DUNE that has ever been done

Re-reading Dune, I forgot how minor Duncan Idaho feels compared to the film. Despite missing a scene or two from the novel, I much prefer the time Denis Villeneuve dedicated to the “older brother” relationship. Jason Momoa remains an inspired choice, emanating warmth + badassery.
