@timelyboars yeah i think that’s the critical difference here. genshin is made for the music to be atmospheric no matter what’s happening, whereas zelda franchise can get very nitty gritty detailed with it. i did think the dottore boss music was peak though

I am going to compare genshin to zelda botw and totk. I dread encounters with gloom hands and guardians because the music puts me in that moment, it's immersive, it makes me shit myself. genshin doesn't do that. the dark beast ganon boss fight was incredibly lacklustre (cont.)
