@_blaurendeau I see this as being focused on second+ generation Ethiopian Americans wanting to give back. Both can take place - one does not exclude the other. And yes - talent is everywhere, regardless of the presence or absence of opportunities, regardless of nationality, etc.

Not sure how one should feel about this. Mixed feelings. Let's just put it this way: if #AASTU #HiLCoE etc. students were granted visas to visit Uncle Sam's country, they could equally teach computer programming courses to high school students there.

Powerful lesson. Even in the specific field I studied @MIT — No matter how much I focused, there always was someone who got it a bit faster. Understood a little deeper. Knew the answer more intrinsically. There will always be someone. Build teams smarter than you.
