🚨🇮🇷 🇺🇸 A U.S. sanctioned supertanker has reportedly slipped through the Navy blockade line while spoofing its position, and is now loading 2 million barrels of Iranian crude. Spoofing in plain terms: every large ship broadcasts its location through a transponder called AIS. By feeding that system false coordinates, a tanker can show up on tracking maps sitting safely outside the blockade while it is physically somewhere else entirely, in this case slipping past the line to load oil. It is digital sleight of hand for ships. More movement is following, with two more Iranian supertankers reportedly pushing east toward the line and three others vanishing from Chabahar port.
