@24Christiangirl Usually, these seats are reserved and were bought by fans of earlier matches who won’t be watching Alex Eala’s game. They can’t resell them because the tickets have already been paid for.

@crossiiini @worldvsdahlia The only chance that Alex will drop out of the Top 32 by the Miami cutoff if Bouzkova wins her next match and Bucsa wins the tournament. Otherwise, Alex will remain ranked No. 31 and be seeded in Miami
English

@rjnanana22 We support Alex Eala regardless of whether she wins or loses. Our support comes from pride & belief in her. In contrast, many fans in other countries tend to follow players mainly because of gambling & some turn against them harshly when the results don’t go their way

People still don’t understand that sports is also a business. Talent matters, yes. Hard work matters. But visibility, marketability, and audience impact matter too.
Why are some of you mad that Alex Eala is being promoted more than other players? She is bringing people into the sport. She is filling seats. She is generating engagement. That doesn’t happen randomly.
Do you really think she was promoted out of nowhere? No. She performed well in a major tournament and that’s where it started. Results open the door. But what keeps it open is everything else. Her composure. Her charisma. The way she connects with the crowd. And of course, the Filipino fan base. We are loud, loyal, and we show up.
Sports organizations notice that. Sponsors notice that. Tournament directors definitely notice that.
I remember during one of the Dubai matches, I can’t even remember if it was her first or second one, a group of Arab men sat beside me. They asked if Alex was the best player in the Philippines. I said, “She’s the only one.” He laughed and said, “Well, that makes her the best. We will cheer for her for you.”
And they did.
That’s how it works. One player draws attention, and suddenly people who didn’t even plan to care are invested. That’s not favoritism. That’s impact.
If you’re bringing people to the sport, you will get promoted. That’s not unfair. That’s smart business.

This man's son had a serious addiction to his tablet. Any time the father tried to take it away, the son would cry, scream, throw a fit, and search for it until he found it again. At his wits' end on what to do, the father decided to draw circles around his child's eyes while he was sleeping. When the child woke up, the father claimed the dark circles were caused by the child's time on his tablet and that if he continued, he would go blind.
This sparks a serious debate. Did this father go too far to save his son, or could he have just gotten rid of the tablet? Where do you draw the line in parenting?
If it's me, I'm just going to get rid of the tablet altogether.
