Everyone tells me I could "scale 10x" by hiring a bunch of employees while choosing to straight-up ignore the headaches that managing people brings.
I've done both over a 20-year career.
I prefer the Solopreneur route.
3am. Saturday. Jammin Jiu Jitsu & guitar & fam day.
That said : The world is in a dark place right now.
There's a strong chance for turbulence the next 10 years. Bank accounts wiped out, run away inflation, major stock crash, war....etc.
The best play is simply this : Be f%&king GOOD...No not good...EXCELLENT at what you do.
What do I mean : Hopefully your saved money and investments don't get wiped out. Hopefully there isn't some F-all war n global reset that blows up your business or job.
However this all relies on hope in OTHERS.
There's 3 simple ways to set yourself up to win at all cost.
A) Be F%^ing Gud
If you are capable of building, creating and LEVERAGING value...you are going to be good no matter what...In fact you will simply just be rich no matter what.
There will always be demand for products/services that fix problems. People that not only BUILD these but also SELL them at a high level will always be able to squeeze gallons of water from a stone.
AKA make money, lots of it....On command.
Wrap that up with the knowledge of how to structure a business for revenue AND sales/exit value...
Yeah....You'll be fine.
You might get hit in the face, but you are essentially unkillable. You can build wealth (and flip it) on command.
Build the unholy trinity of skills
-Putting together teams n building products
-Sales
-Paid direct response advertising
Are all skills that will NEVER go out of fashion.
Being able to build, sell and generate attention via ads is the unholy trinity of making money on command.
You CANNOT go wrong with these. No matter the climate of the world.
Build yourself and your skills like you are training for the Olympics. It'll all work out regardless of what happens
(IF YOU AVOID STUPID SHORT SIGHTED GREEDY MISTAKES & RISK)
B) Live below your means and need nothing
Your ESSENTIAL life style should absolutely not be more than 10% of your income AFTER taxes AND OR equal to your passive income.
This obviously backstops you from even the toughest losses.
IE : I make millions a month atm. I passively generate hundreds of K. My lifestyle cost around 20k-30k a month. I could be completely wiped out in so many ways and not change a thing.
MORE SO : I know my partner and I need very little to be happy. I've lived in an apartment for years with just a bed and a computer and been just as happy as I am now.
I know worst case scenario we would just fine n dandy in an apartment in Thailand next to a MMA gym =P.
Do this.
C) Be Prepared For All Worst Outcomes.
The world is DARK right now. What happens if there is war? What happens if western goverments get even more authoritarian.
Anyone of means should have
-Multiple residencies/citizenships
-A portfolio hedged multiple ways to survive any total economic wipe out
-A gameplan for all bad outcomes (war, collapse, draconian goverment takeover, world changing AI removing most jobs/work)
The world is changing. Fast.
Your best bet is yourself. Your best best is being an absolute weapon.
Optimize for the best, but be locked n loaded for the worst.
Leave me a like if you like these kinda thought out post. Ill make more.
Have a good Saturday. Lez rest up n be back to it tomorrow gents. 🤜🤛
