🔴 UEFN / Unreal RAM tip If you’re running into RAM issues with UEFN / Unreal Engine, this might help a lot. I cleared my Derived Data Cache folder and removed over 140,000 files, which immediately improved performance and significantly reduced memory usage (in my case). 📁 Path: C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine\Common\DerivedDataCache 🟢 Unreal will rebuild it when needed, since this folder stores compiled shaders, textures, and other processed assets. ⚠️ Over time, especially across multiple projects and engine versions, it can accumulate a lot of unused data. ⚡ Not a universal fix, but in my case it made a huge difference in stability and memory usage.

Daily challenge 💡 Built a dynamic spawning system that respects defined areas. Used it to spawn multiple grass meshes around a restaurant while avoiding restricted zones, all handled through Scene Graph collision check. The result turned out really solid 🔥

Collection system I built over the last few hours for a commission! Fun fact: This system was designed to be easily reusable. In this example, it uses brainrots, but it can work with any other item table. (Animating this was really fun!) #uefn #fortnitecreative #verse

#UEFN Verse 50/100 – FULL JOB: Waste System ♻️ Custom animations + everything built in SG ❤️ I genuinely love coding with it it actually feels like a cheat code if you understand it well One of the coolest parts is that I added a component to the player that activates when the job is active and the whole system modular and self contained ✨ Super proud of how this prototype of a job turned out, especially since it only took 1–2 days of focused work Everything is fully dependent on itself module based, and easy to expand The progress bar fills dynamically based on the task, which feels really satisfying to see There are also some features not showcased in the video that will be included in the full release 👀✨ I’ve added a work clothes VFX and a VFX indicator that shows the nearest waste location Still a work in progress, but it’s coming together nicely shoutout to @mapacademia for the inspiration and assets🙏 for the VFX indicator For Verse 50 I wanted to do something special, and this system is cool I’ve got lots more cool things to show 👀#FortniteCreative #Fortnite #Verse

#UEFN Verse 34/100 – 🚗 Smooth Car UI + Clean Animations! 💨 Getting to “Good” — maybe, this one’s actually not hard, but it’s exactly the kind of thing that makes game dev so fun for me. It’s a pain to set up, sure, but the final result is super rewarding and adds a lot to make the experience memorable for players. The only tricky part is getting the player to actually interact with it — might need an input device for that 😅. Side note: I love how many UMG features still aren’t available in Verse UI. You know, the little coding tools that give you real creative freedom — it’s wild. I don’t get why small but game-changing things always get delayed until the big stuff comes out. All I want are custom buttons in Verse — how hard is it to make an image interactable with a hover function? 😂 Technically, you can get player input in UI, so if I find the time, I might just make my own custom Verse buttons and open source the code for the community since Epic hasn’t yet 💪. Quick rant: The popup dialog devices don't close on click is bugged. yay love being restricted to broken devices lol. Also spent hours debugging only to realize it was a Cinematic setting issue 💀lol. Had to make cinematics in the main RP map too, which meant the load times drove me crazyyy. next time I’ll just learn Verse Delta Keyframes to hard code the animation on blank maps instead of the main big *** map. Also, maybe I’m missing something, but I still can’t find a way (other than changing the player class) to remove the HUD with the HUD Controller. No per-player setting? Huge shoutout to @grkwfn for the inspriation amazing guy who makes even more amazing stuff! Another shoutout to @imJaviRomero for his Cinematic camera shake tutorial did not know that was a thing. #FortniteCreative #Verse #UI
