A genuine question: If The Netherlands does return with AVROTROS or another broadcaster, will they be considered part of the big 5? They used to be the sixth-largest contributor to the contest. Spain isn’t going to consider a return, which would leave their spot open…

The government will not be taking their non qualification into consideration for the decision whether they’ll cut the funding or extend the ‘contract’.

Luxembourg could be withdrawing from the contest too (the emphasis on could withdraw). The government is partially funding the participation [a three-year period was agreed on]. If the government cuts the funding, Luxembourg will not be able to compete at Eurovision 2027.

The EBU is working with an unsustainable system: trying to make as many countries as possible to return to compete at Eurovision to cover up the lost financial income. The withdrawals of primarily The Netherlands and Spain have left a massive dent in the finances.

The only way Israel could get expelled from participating at Eurovision is if other broadcasters will threaten to not compete. Belgium's broadcaster [VRT] will likely request an open debate regarding Israel's participation. The only way that request could turn out successful ...

Even though they didn't win, and haven't won the public vote, that doesn't mean they aren't (still) negatively affecting the contest. Hopefully, in the coming months leading to the next Eurovision season, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm SO happy that Bulgaria won the contest instead of Israel. However, we cannot keep on hoping, praying and wishing the worst-case scenario doesn't happen. At some point, the luck will run out. Israel must be excluded from Eurovision.
