I once tweeted about how people who pray or consider themselves prayerful think they deserve life's good things more than those they believe don't pray, and it stems from the fallacy that they are "special" compared to those who don't pray or don't pray their way. This is a major reason I don't fancy very religious people: they sincerely wish you fail for not being as religious as them, so they can attribute it to your irreligiousness. When you fail, they say "it's because you don't pray," not because they know you don't pray, but because you don't pray in the way they approve as the gatekeepers of prayer acceptance. They will claim you failed an exam or didn't get a job because you didn't pray well and/or properly. Ironically, however, more religious people fail than irreligious ones, making the "you didn't pray" line and it's variants baseless. It is sad that religion does this to people, and even sadder that they cannot see it.
