It really was one of the craziest elections in American history. The Democrats dropped Biden and installed Harris AFTER the primaries, something that had never happened in modern times. The party didn’t give its members nationwide a chance to choose. Trump was shot, and seconds later was on his feet yelling, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” That photo became instantly iconic. Democrats Bobby Kennedy Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, and Elon Musk all endorsed Trump and hit the campaign trail for him. The importance of those endorsements - Kennedy dropped his independent bid for the White House, and Elon pumped a pretty penny into the campaign - cannot be overstated. Trump’s message to his base all over the nation was they had make their turnout on Election Day too big to rig. Even with all that, legacy media was against Trump. The polling was by and large very biased. In left enclaves like Hollywood, they drank their own Kool-Aid, thought Harris would win, most of the country kinda knew Kamala was cooked. Speaking personally, I expected Trump to win.

If Alex Kurtzman isn’t a Woke crybaby who runs home to mama every time someone says something he doesn’t like, you’re fine Alex. If anything, you were being too kind by half. Kurtzman’s two fundamental mistakes in Nu Trek were ignoring canon and using the show - what appeared on the screen as well as hiring decisions - to push THE MESSAGE. He didn’t do the basic job. He got paid handsomely, sure, but he also lost Paramount tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars and more importantly, he has tarnished the reputation of Star Trek almost beyond repair. I haven’t gotten to see Project Hail Mary yet, but I understand your story reflects the spirit of Trek. Looking forward to it. Maybe Paramount would be smart to hire you to run the franchise for a few years!
